OPEN easter sun & mon , then1st sun of month till october 1st
What have we got ?
The museum is housed in what was an old farm building, situated on the east side of York near the A64.
We first opened Easter 1994, and since then we have continually improved the museum and its contents.
We now have over 250 motorcycles and a treasure trove of motoring memorabilia.
The majority of bikes are in working order and get used, some of them on television, as I see this as a working museum and not just dormant exhibits.
This gives me the incentive to try and keep them in working order.
We have an ARMY section, a POLICE section, a SCOOTER section, a TRAILS section and a FOUR WHEELED section.
The British bike section has over 230 bikes spanning from 1918 to 1987.
The Japanese section has about 40 bikes and there is also a good showing from the SIDECAR section.
The Museum is constantly evolving and new exhibits may appear at any time.
The museum's aisles are wheelchair friendly and drinks, both hot and cold, are available at the entrance area.
